Parent Letters

Dear Everyone at Threshold,
I wanted to let you all know how much you have meant to our family over the last 9 years(imagine that...9 years!). Leaving a child at day care can be the most traumatic thing a parent has to do- wondering if they will be well cared for, if someone will pick them up and comfort them when they cry, being anxious about what (if anything) they are learning. To have had all of you watching and caring for my children has been one of the greatest blessings of our time in Memphis.
I have watched you all- I drop in at odd times, I go on field trips-and I have always been amazed at what I see when your are with my children and the others at Threshold.I have never , in 9 years, heard anyone raise their voice to a child. I have never seen a child crying by themselves or disciplined in any unfair manner. I have always heard love and kindness in your voices and your actions toward all the children there. My children have learned more from you than I could possibly have taught them, even if I worked at it full-time. You not only teach them songs and their ABC's and how to read before they enter kindergarten (although you do that so well). You teach them to care about themselves and others, to respect their time and the things around them, to control themselves without using anything but praise and a soft voice. You teach them to have fun with the other children, to do a little more than they thought they could, and to value their work and accomplishments. You let them each be themselves, which is a major thing for teachers to do, and they respond by being the best they can be.
I know Anna and Matthew left you and started school well ahead of anyone else in their classes because of your love and teaching. One of my biggest regrets in leaving Memphis will be that Abby doesn't get to spend more time with you. You will all be greatly missed in our lives. Thank you all for teaching my children and for caring for them as if they were your own.
We love you all...Thank you!

To Ms. Bradley and the entire Threshold Staff,
I thank God that we were led to Threshold. each and every teacher, past and present, have made a positive impact on Daniel. He presented some challenges for each of you. Thank you for taking time and effort to develop Daniel into the child he is today.
It is with much regret, yet a bright future ahead, that we leave Threshold. With the foundation and love you have given Daniel I look for success throughout his school years. Thank you and may God bless you all. You have a special way of caring and bringing out the best in all your students- thanks for bing a teacher who really cares.

Love, Daniel, Lisa and Daniel Hawkins

Threshold Staff,
I want to thank you so much for making Savannah's first years of school a wonderful experience. She made so many wonderful friends and has grown so much in the last year. You are truly a family and I know Savannah will carry these memories with her throughout her life. I have always told everyone about your school and will continue to say only positive things. We will truly miss each and every one of you.
Sincerely,

The Short Family

Thank you so much for the care and love you gave Cannon this year. We are so glad that he was able to start school in such a nurturing environment.

God Bless, Mom and Dad

I think it might have been the luckiest day for my boys when we were told Threshold had room for them and every day since has been a delight. The teachers are wonderful with the children, teaching them but also allowing them to explore. Their curious minds are challenged and their souls are nourished with the love and kindness from everyone there. Thank you for everything you have done, and continue to do, for my boys during their pre-school journey. We are forever grateful! In case you can’t tell, we LOVE Threshold Montessori!

The Humphreys family could not thank Threshold Montessori enough for the difference you have made in our lives the last (almost!) 7 years! Forrest thrived there and now, even in 2nd grade is still reaping the benefits of his time with you all. Now you have our Maggie and everyday she comes home she is as eager to go back the next day as Forrest always was. That says so much about all of you and the love and devotion you put into the kids. You’re their family. xoxo

Erica, Robert, Forrest, and Maggie Humphreys

We have been apart of the Threshold family for more than 17 years. We truly appreciate the love, care, and education they have provided for our sons. Threshold is family.

Thank you for all you’ve done for us day in and day out over the past 4 years. I truly wouldn’t have been able to accomplish my goals and graduate school without having the piece of mind that Olivia was take care of, loved on, and educated while I was away. Your dedication and excellence amaze me. We will forever be grateful!
